Navy Dads

My son left on of all days Veteran's Day and began training on Friday January 13th. Then is assigned Ship 13! Div 055. Hopefully 13 will be lucky for them. Anybody else out there have a recruit in the same boat?

My son left on 11/16. I haven't heard what boat he may be in.
Eddie, Give your son's recruiter a call this friday or the following Monday.
They may have him assigned to a ship and division by then. "Alot of help from my wife for this one"

The official form letter from your son should come about week two (give or take a day or two) which will give you alot of good OFFICIAL info as well as a few comments ( 4 lines available for his personal comments) from your Young Sailor. You will need his Division number as well to start sending Mail. Welcome to the Proud Parents Club, Its awsome what are kids are doing. Stand tall and proud like the rest of us.

We just received the short letter yesterday, so you should get your soon. Glad to see dads get nervous too. :-) I thought it was just moms that did all the worrying.

My son is on Ship 13 Div. 052. I'm guessing it will be the same PIR date. I hope to hear from him soon to find out for sure. Only thing I've had is the 20 second phone call when he arrived. I still havent recieved the letter with the info and 4 lines from him. His recruiter gave me his ship and division numbers. This site and the many great members have been a great source of info to help keep a very proud, but nervous dad a little more relaxed!
