Dear members of Navy Dads. For the rest of May, our Home Page at The Patriot Woodworker formerly The American Woodworker as you see our label at the lower left of Navy Dad's Home Page will be dedicated to the men and women who serve our country.
My name is John Morris, and I created The Patriot Woodworker to be a place where woodworkers from all over can come and discuss their favorite pastime and profession, woodworking. I also proudly support Navy Dad's on our site's Home Page. Yet there is a reason why we as a community even exist. It is to support our American Warriors returning home from war, wounded, hurt and damaged both physically and mentally.
Besides our continuous support for our men and women serving our nation, there are two times during our year that we concentrate on supporting our troops, and we participate in fund-raising for The Wounded Warrior Project. The two months we concentrate our efforts are appropriately, May (Memorial Day) and November (Veterans Day). We ask our members and guests to donate funds to The Wounded Warrior Project by going to The Patriot Woodworker Team Page. You can access the team page by clicking on the "Proud Supporter" logo at the upper right of our Home Page, or you can click here "The Patriot Woodworker Team Page".
Our Sailors, Marines, Soldiers and Airmen need your help. These men and women put it all on the line for you and I. They are keeping the bad guys off our shores, destroying terrorists where ever they are, and fighting radicalism in foreign lands. They are the reason we can sleep soundly at night. They are holding the line, and they are proud to do so.
When these same heroes come home from war, sometimes they are not whole, they arrive in a strange hospital after being airlifted from the battle ground to the states, they arrive with barely a robe on their back, they have nothing, all their gear is left back at their positions, many times they awake from their surgeries they had at the Med Facilities in Iraq or Afghanistan here in the states, they only remember up to the time they got hit, the rest is blank. They awake to find out they are missing an arm, a leg, they are burned beyond recognition, they are scared, yet they are very brave and they need our help. The Wounded Warrior Project provides them with clothing, and during and after their rehab process, The Wounded Warrior Project takes them snow skiing, fishing, hunting, and many more activities to help these men and women get back to a relatively normal life. On top of all that, they also advocate for our veterans, they are involved in the politics of getting our veterans the treatment they deserve.
Please help me support The Wounded Warrior Project through your direct donations to their cause. When you place a donation at our Team Page, your money goes directly to The Wounded Warriors. They handle the secure transaction. We have a goal of raising a total of 1000 dollars, our last fundraising efforts netted WWP 540 dollars. You can make your donation in "Honor Of" on "Behalf Of" and in your own name or anonymously. Lets see if we can get that up to the 1000 dollar goal line by the end of Memorial Day Weekend!
Please help our Wounded Warriors, they deserve our best, they deserve our help. Without them, without their efforts, we as a nation could not exist, without our troops holding the line, terrorism would be on our shores tomorrow.
Please take a couple minutes and watch the WWP Featured Video.
Thank you Navy Dad's for doing your part with this great website, and God Bless our American Service Men and Women and all military's across the globe fighting the fight against terrorists and extremism. And may God Bless The United States of America

Great video Paul! I love this one. I get chills down my back listening to it. We have done pretty good with our fundraiser, but not good enough! There is still time to help out guys! Thanks Navy Dads for allowing me to have this notice here on your site.
You know what they say, "if you can't stand behind our Sailors, Soldiers, Marines and Airmen, feel free to stand in front of them!!"

Well Navy Dad's, our campaign has come to an end and I would like to thank all for their support and especially Navy Dad's for allowing us to inform it's members of the job we were involved in getting our wounded troops the care they deserve. Thank you so much Navy Dad's for your help, and thank you again for allowing The Patriot Woodworker to bring awareness to it's members for The Wounded Warrior Project! Just because our official Memorial Day Campaign has ended, we still continue to support The Wounded Warrior Project all year long. Our members at The Patriot Woodworker is also embarking on our second Military Challenge Coin displays campaign. If any of the Navy Dad's members are woodworkers and would like to be involved in this, please check us out at The Military Challenge Coin Project. This next shipment of challenge coin displays are going to Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, where our Sailors and Marines are treated for their wounds received in the current wars. I am shipping these off in the next three weeks so you all have time to make some nice displays for our service men and women to be shipped off. Don't forget, you can still donate to The Wounded Warrior Project anytime, just go to The Patriot Woodworker's Team Page for The Wounded Warriors and make your secure contribution, all proceeds go directly to The Wounded Warriors.
Thank you
John Morris
