Navy Dads

Biography

Colton Jones had his PIR from Boot Camp on March 14th, 2008. He then stayed at Great Lakes for "A" school as an Electricians Mate. "A" school ended in August of 2008. That same month, his orders sent him to the USS Carl Vinson. At that time the Carl Vinson was in dry dock for refueling until January 2010. After leaving dry dock for Colton's vey first under way. the Vinson was heading to her home port of San Diego, but was diverted to Haiti to help with the terrible earth quake damage.

Colton's service inspired his brother, Tucker, to also join the Navy. Colton was able to attend his brother's PIR in October of 2009.

Colton's passion is for wrestling and took top honors in his home state of Oregon. His mother is Molly of "Molly's Adopt A Sailor."
