Well said Rex...you'll see a flag on my house tomorrow....long may those colors wave! God Bless the United States of America!!
on 9/11 our flag went up at 7 Am and is still up with the lights on it until 12 midnight. God bless those called to serve and defend all of us as a result of this day we will never forget! Go Navy! Go USA!
Dear Son,

Today, September 11th, is a very special day for me because I remember sitting with you in front of the TV at the foot of my bed that morning as we watched that second plane hit the World Trade Center Tower live and I said, "We are going to war with someone over this..." and you said, "I wish I was in the military right now so I could help them."

Wow, what an incredibly brave statement coming from a twelve year old.

You are such a very special man, I admire you so much. You made a plan that day, worked the plan and made it become a reality in just six years.

That is such an amazing thing and I am so honored to have been able to watch you make it happen.

All my best to you today my son, have a great day out there on the high seas serving our country on the USS Ronald Reagan. A proud air craft carrier crew member you must be on this day as you all protect our country's freedom and liberty.

Thank you so much, I am so proud of you and I love being your Mom.
