I have not received a "P2" letter or a password to get the online gate pass. I intend to take that up with SR Ward when he calls tomorrow.

The  Form letter usually arrives within the first 10 days of Basic with all of the info regarding PIR. This is where you will find the password to download the pass...

You never got the form letter with his address and his PIR date? It has all of the local accomodations info, etc.? In this is the password. Maybe one of the other Dads whose SR's PIR date is the same can message it to you...

No, I didn't receive it. Nor did any of the other three who are attending his PIR. Aside from his letters, all I received was the box of his civilian clothes a few days after he shipped out.

Great idea though. Thanks. Any 196 dads able to message me the password?

Heard from my son today...he is officially a Sailor...am very proud of him!  Hope to see some of you at P.I.R

Talked to my sailor too. He sounded great and, just as I thought, didn't know anything about the P2 Form Letter. I sent a message to the NTC asking if I could get a parking pass at the gate. We'll see...

Same with my son, he was at a medical screening and didn't know anything about it. Spoke to him earlier and also was able to chat via Facebook awhile later.
