This happened to me on one of the phone calls when my son was in RTC. I too thought it was my cel phone obviously that's always a good possibility. He could hear me but he sounded so faint like he's whispering and somewhat muffled it almost sounded like he was talking through a foam cup with a string on it. I just heard click. But he called right back on a different phone...

Hello everyone. I know I'm in the wrong place and a little late but wanted to chimme inn and also see if anyone knows where there is chatter about my son's Division. He left on the 2nd of August. He's on Ship 13 Div. 314. Also scheduled for PIR on 28, Sept. 2012. Got the box and letter about a week in... 1st personal letter 2 full weeks in...2nd personal letter full 3weeks in, and a surprise phone call on the same day. I don't know if that helps anyone but I hope so. Can anyone tell me where there may be discussion about my son's ship and division. See you all on the 28th of Sept. Thanks.
Sorry about the spelling!

Mine missed his call as well :( At least I got a letter-he sounds happy!
She will be waiting for the mail come Wednesday I'm sure. Are any of you going to PIR? If so, we'll see you there.
Definitely going :) His A school is so far from home soI need to take advantage of any chance to see him.
I was in the DMV when PJ called so I missed his call. He did get to talk to his mom. Hope he calls this weekend we just madereservations for the graduation.
Sorry you missed the call! FYI you can call back the pay phone. I kept dropping the call when I was trying to join calls with my wife, but we could call him back as long as he was there.

Hello Mike,
My son is also Ship 13 division 312 PIR dat Sept 28th.... We live in Wa state and will be attending graduation as well. My wife is also a high school teacher and has already requested time off. The letters home have been a hoot and I can't wait to see him after all he has been sharing with us. I wish he had more time after graduation, but he heads out to S.C. Nuke school early the next morning. So we will have the make the most of the 8hrs or so allowed. I agree 100% about wishing we could be a fly on the wall, that would make my day or year for that matter....My son's best friend just left today for Chicago and just landed and is now waiting for the tram to take him to Great Lakes. Then off to S.C. for him as well. I have been reading him all of my son's letters, so he has some idea of what to expect. A great life is ahead for all of them.
