Navy Dads

So after battling the weather for a few days here in the NE, my son finally flew out tonight.  I am so excited for him for the journey he is about to embark on.  I hope that he will find all of what he is looking for on this adventure in his life.

Hi Todd,

My son arrived at RTC the evening of 2/4/14. Wife, daughter and I are going through a whole range of emotions. Missing him greatly but we're very excited and proud of him.

Best wishes for our sons!

Hi, our son reported the 4th also and sworn in on and bused up to Great Lakes on the 5th. I share your feelings and emotions and will keep your son and all the others in thoughts and prayers. Best wishes,

Hi, our son also also arrived at Great Lakes on the 5th. He was actually suppose to arrive there on the 4th, but weather in Chicago delayed him. Thank you for your sons and daughters service. My family will keep your families in our thoughts and prayers. We are missing him very much also. Can't wait until PIR.

Looks like we a lot of our children reported on the 4th mine did also. I just I knew what he was going through right now I was in the Army so I'm sort of lost

watch this series of videos to see what happens at RTC.......http://www.navydads.com/forum/topics/return-to-bootcamp

Thank you Paul! I'm sure everyone else has constantly wondered what their son or daughter must have been going through a few days after shipping out. Can't thank you enough for the link to the videos. I'll be sharing them with my wife tomorrow.

Yes, thank you Paul...My wife and I watched some vids on youtube on Friday night with our kids to show them what our son is going through.  Looks a lot different than Army basic/infantry training 28 years ago, but I am excited for my Son to serve his country.

here are a couple more vids, but the Return to Bootcamp series really hits it...... http://www.navydads.com/forum/topics/boot-camp-videos-1

and when they get ready for Battle Stations, watch these....the USS Trayer is perhaps the most advanced Naval simulator in the world: http://www.navydads.com/forum/topics/battle-stations-21-1

Our son left, 1/28 it was extremely difficult since we are very close, got our second called Saturday. you can call his recruiter and get his address and start writing to him, it will lift his spirits getting those letters.
