Navy Dads

Hello everyone,

My name is Dexter Mullins and I'm a producer for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. I'm working on a story for our series "Making A Difference: On the Homefront" -that highlights the positive things being done for our military serviceman, in particular sailors. I'm currently looking for someone who will be taking part in a Navy Tiger Cruise in the next 3-5 months so we can feature them in the story. Please feel free to leave any comments in the thread below, or email me directly at dexter.mullins@nbc.com.

Thank you all!

The Tiger Cruise experience is something unforgettable.....I find myself going back and re-reading the series of my blog posts from my cruise in '09 and it brings the experiences back to life so to speak....the sights, smells, and sounds are indelibly etched into my memory!!! Seeing our sailors at work brings the entire Navy journey into sharp focus and certainly made me appreciate the work and dedication that our sons and daughters put into their Navy career.

I have done Tiger Cruise 2007 and 2011 aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN 65). I look very much forward to being aboard for Tiger Cruise 2012...The final frontier for the First, The Finest, The Big E...We Are Legend...

Hi again everyone!

I know it has been a LONG time since you've heard from me. I just wanted to follow through with my promise. I left NBC for another job opportunity, but before I left I passed this story off to a trusted friend and producer, Steve Louie in the Burbank bureau. It took us a year but the story finally got done! Thanks to everyone for your help. You can see it in the link below.

Tiger Cruise story

I completely agree with Jim here Dexter. One fine job and thank you and your colleague that you passed this story on to for doing such a fine job on this story.
