Hi my son has been in limbo since finishing basic in late november. He is still waiting to go to school., might be sometime in the next month .So i understand the feeling of not knowing, mnot having any info. But just hang in there. My son is doing great as im sure your grandson is as well.Take care
Edwin - welcome! And thank you to your grandson for choosing to serve in our great US Navy! Now comes the fun part - hurry up and wait LOL. Tell your grandson to use this time to get prepared. He can start memorizing everything (can't remember what it's all called, but there's a lot of it!) and start working out. Run, do sit ups and push ups - get in the best physical shape he can be in.....don't slack off right now while waiting to leave....all this will make it easier for him at bootcamp. He's probably going to DEP meetings so they will also tell him this and will give him things to start learning. Be serious with his preparations and it will make life easier down the line.....feel free to ask questions - this is a great bunch of people here!
Here's a little reminder of how things work:
here is a link to the Official RTC training Guide....he can start to learn from it: http://www.navydads.com/group/bootcamp/page/official-rtc-training-g...
