Navy Dads

On Aug 13th while walking down the navy Pier we met a sailor that graduated with our son Mike C. and will be going to school in Groton Ct. We met another set of parents at the meet and greet on Thurs. before the PIR. We extended to that family the invitation to pass along to their son our number and address should he get weekend libertey and want to get away he would be welcome to stay with us. We extened the same invite to the young man that we met on Sat. However not being the brigthest light on the tree I did not exchange address and numbers, and by the time I realized that he was lost in the crowd. I know the young mans name and where he is from and if his mom or dad is on this site please contact me and we will figure out away to make it happen if you and he would like. My wife is on Navy for Moms and her screen name is momc, so if you are on either site and think that this is a good idea let us know. Our sons Mike C. ship at RTC was the Enterprise, ship 10, Div. 257, he was the Yeoman. Being prior service I know how good it feels just to get away from everything service related, even if only for just a day or so. And even though I was Airforce, we all took the same oath. We live in Ct. in Waterbury and Groton is only about an hours drive from our home.
