When does the 2nd call come?

We got ours roughly around 3 weeks after the initial "I'm here and okay" call. But there's no set date and all phone call privileges are at the discretion of the RDCs. But keep in mind as the RTC saying goes... no news is good news!

I missed my son's second call but I'm not as upset about it as I was back then...

By policy, you're entitled to two calls..."I'm here" and "I'm a sailor!".....as Gary said, any others are at the desecration of the RDC's. You may get others and you may not...in general around week 3-4 you'll get another call. But do not count on it so do not be disappointed if you you don't.
