It's cold and rainy here... out here on deployment.  No snow.  I will miss the Pro bowl this year but it is really cool to go see in person.  Hawaii is all about the relaxed feeling of things.  It is a fun relaxed game to see the pros playing.  I saw the game in 2008.  I do also have to say... I have been off of the island for just about three months and I miss it a lot.  If your sons and/or daughters don't get out and about and do things then they are missing out.  I am just saying because I know some people that just sit in their rooms and play games.  Oahu is packed full with things to do and explore. :)  It is a great island to explore.  Pass me that dakine and take an Aloha Friday!! :D

I wish I had your problems Chuck. I just got in the house after shoveling snow for 5 hours. My snow blower would run for about 3 minutes and quit. I had to restart it and it would quit. I had four foot drifts covering all of my driveway from the street along the full length of my house to my garage. I managed to hand shovel between my garage and house before my son showed up with a BOB CAT. That sure made the job easy. So Joe to answer your question NO it wasn't as bad as predicted. The 24 inches only turned out to be around 15 inches give or take an inch. I have city power which rarely every goes out in Peru. Mt brother-in-law in Morris on I-80 East of me had it much worse and lost power from 7PM last night to around 11 AM this morning. Don't you just love winter.

All OK here. We were suposed to get 1/4 inch of ice Teusday morning, but the temprature warmed up above freezing.  North of used had a few more problems.  All of western PA was above freezing by 10:00 AM.  Just a few slick spots by daylight.  Today is falling temps and windy with about 2 inches of snow on the way.

I think We are in the 24 inch area, north east of Peoria, Il. They are expecting 24 inches.

We are to have at least a 1/4 inch of ice by morning.  I hope they are wrong!

No I didn't Chuck. I think I should have scheduled my Vegas trip for this week. I just finished checking my snow blower, it runs on quarter choke only. Trying to figure it out. To late to go to a repair shop. I guess I will have to shovel.

Thanks Joe Jr!!!

Jim and Gary did either of you two have any thing to do with the ice storm we are to get tonight and tomorrow?  They promise us 0.1 to 0.25 inch of ice accumulation.  Would much rather it be snow!

My wife is really expecting this little trip. I sure hope the weatherman is at least partially wrong. I will even take partially right.
