What's up with your sailors in paradise???

The infomation on Ask.com shows that AE is overmanned from E-4 to E-6. The data is old, but my son's experience and the quotas you mentioned from the last test shows that the data still applies and that the rating is overmanned.

Chuck, AE does appear to be a hard rate to advance in. This past cycle 761 sailors passed the test and only 161 were promoted to E-4. (21.16%) It doesn't look any better for the E-4 To E-5 rank either.

Chuck, what is your sons rate?
Comment by Chuck on December 1, 2010 at 3:35pm
my son is passed but not advanced due to the competition for the E-4 slots in his rating.

Chuck, I guess they had the official ceremony Wednesday the 24th. Nick said it was supposed to be on the 22nd but the Captain was busy. I don't know about the pay grade, that may be on 13 January 2011 when Nick has the anniversary of his enlistment. (2years in the NAVY, 6 months in grade as E-3)
