Well this is pretty cool. I just learned that Rosie was named "best of the best" this week at ET A school. Apparently this involved being selected by her SDCs to represent her class and to undergo a special uniform inspection and answer questions from the Chief about what ETs do. Rose thought she hadn't done so well and was really surprised when they called her name. She said she got to lead the school in the Sailor's Creed and got a certificate to memorialize the achievement.

I am extremely proud of my daughter. BZ Rosie!

have a lot of patience with your kid, daughter called less, had some issues, liked not leaving the base, now she's on eternal hold and is only 40 minutes from home and doesnt wanna come home.... Your new credo, "it is what it is, on earth as it is in the Navy" and "navy needs" ie navy needs come before all else, sit back and enjoy thier ride!

Congradulations on a job well done. John is still under the impression he will not get C school orders till after the first of the year. He has a a nice job as the leader of the maintainance crew on his ship.

Way to go Ang!

Anyone else's son going through the PT test tomorrow morning for the Special Warfare Development group? Pat is one of 15 going through it. Sounds like a great program. HE finished ET A school 3 weeks ago.

Thanks Tim. I know John would be happy to get his orders and get on to the next phase or training. He should also be making E4 sometime in the spring.

Leon, if i might add a little here to what Larry and Bob posted. I do know that things have changed since Trevor left a-school 2 yrs ago but at the same time I don't think that things have changed all that much. When Trevor was about done with his A-school (May 09) he was told that the Navy didn't have the money to move sailors to their next school, now I know that this is an overcrowding issue not a money issue but hear me out. Trevors class was issued what is known as soft orders, which is papers orders but not a hard copy. Within 2 weeks time of him getting these soft orders, May 12 09', he came to graduation from A-school and was handed his Hard orders and was to report to his C-school on the 27th of June 09'. maybe this will help you guys out some and your sailors can keep their heads up with some hope that they will get through this transition with a little more speed.
