Also he is in a dorm like place too. No longer the indoc place. They have tv, playstation, computers, phones, etc. The group got together and paid for wireless internet in their room. What a rip. Why should they have to pay for it?

My son just started A school about 2 weeks ago. He has been on hold since 12/4. All is good and he likes it so far!!

Here on base, from TMobile, a hefty chunk of change. The card itself is around 150, but they say free with 2-year contract (haha, like any of us will be here that long). Then it's around 60 dollars a month for service. Total rip-off, but...you do what you need to do. The barracks PCs here are 6 dollars an hour, and I'm sure they're monitored, soo.....

Seeky not out, indoc didn't get the day off. But early day, easy day. Waiting on that laptop still...cough, cough, so I don't need to spend on barracks internet. And I personally think I will get an internet card so I can browse from my room--take it out of the car section of my budget as unmarried ETs and FCs still need to hoof it.

Chris is in "indoc" barracks, arrived there a week ago Tuesday. He had a room mate when he first got there, but he called yesterday and said when he got back to his room, his roomy was gone, so he had the place to himself for a night. I suspect that's changed now. We shipped his laptop, ipod and cellphone to him on Monday, should be there now. He still doesn't know when he'll class up, but he's heard "rumors" that it's the first of the month, so another 2wks. He got his phone/pc, etc...and is happy with that. He doesn't have internet in the room, but there are several places on base that has wifi, chow hall and USO, as well as the NEX area, I think.
I'll be glad when his classes start and he gets going on the next leg of his journey.
