Comment by NavyDads Admin, Tim on May 28, 2009 at 7:20pm: Well I have good news Trevor got his orders last thursday 5-21-09. He is to report to Naval Station San Diego on 6-25-09 for "C" school working on Satellite Communications. He also got his orders for what ship he will be assigned to. He will be a member of the USS Rentz FFG-46 based in San Diego. so looks as though our plans for a fathers day visit to Great Lakes has been cancelled and we will be making a trip later in the summer to San Diego.

Comment by Larry Gaither on May 8, 2009 at 7:24pm: James became a Sailor today. He passed Battle Stations and is now waiting for P.I.R. We also found out his orders are FC not ET as we thought. Filling the Navy's needs not the individual's wishes.

Comment by NavyDads Admin, Tim on April 9, 2009 at 8:42pm: Congratulations. looks as though you might have about 720-750 graduates that you will get to see make the transformation from a seaman recruit to a seaman Apprentice. It is a wonderful experience and one that I wouldn't mind setting through over and over again, even without one of my kids graduating.
