So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Mary - thanks for the photo!  I just called my son to ask if he knew what was happening - though he's still in GL!  He said, "Of course I know, Mom - I'm an FC!"

Yes, Jim - I get up every morning and go straight to the news, Navy Times & Navymil for news on our sailors in this relief effort.  Prayers for their safety.  Such a sad thing there in Japan - just incredible.

Some support and thoughts to our sailors and other servicemembers that are deployed to Japan right now.

That's one hell of a mess...and it's getting worse.

Congratulations Andrew!  Fantastic news, great orders for your son!  Wish him all the best.
Comment by Andrew Ross on March 10, 2011 at 2:14pm

Thanks for the good wishes!

He's very excited!  He is also going to be home for his birthday, which is an excellent addition to the exciting news ... we missed out on his 21st last year!  My wife is excited too, since we now get to have an excuse to visit the east coast again ... we enjoyed our first/last visit (Boston and New York) and fell in love with it!

Andrew Ross, Congratulations!! I am so happy that things have worked out for your son.

My son wants to work on Aegis systems. I think that is at Dahlgren too.

Great orders, congrats!

He will be happy with that assignment!
