got to talk to nat yesterday and hes so proud now he is staff ad a 3rd class petty officer and does not do watch anymore and feeling good and cant wait to se us this next weekend..he says he might get orders in a month .....were looking forward to seeing him --linclonshire marriot is great they have accomadated us way beyond and they allow pets if u have one but the manager there is incredible and yr close to the base and its very clean and has a basketball court and pooltable and nice pool...nat has picked the aegis system and hopes to get to va for C school as i think this is the only one that trains for this system...ok got to run bye all

Thankyou and yes hes feeling better and yes he cant wait for orders he wants out of great lakes and the freezing cold lol but more so to move on with his career and thanks for update paul ill get to see him in two weeks ill tell him that for you,,,i pray all new fc s   thankyou  jim also ....

Thanks for the info, Paul, I think you're right!  I spoke to my son this morning and he heard that he's at the top of the list and should be getting something within the next couple of weeks ... fingers crossed!

Tim, when I was at the A school ceremony last week I saw Nat come by and report to FC1 that he was sick.  Great to hear that he is feeling better and received his certificate for FC, Congrats! 

Andrew, the Sailors I met that got orders last week had been on hold for quite a while so I'm sure your son will get his soon.  Let us know when you hear something.

Well all Nat just finished A sschool the top ten in his class and is proud as can be and waiting to see where he goes next but got a virus and spent some time in sickbay but is getting better as we speak.Im glad to hear of all the ones graduated A school and nat missed his grauduation ceremony but it was ok he sent me a pic of his diploma and me and my wife cant wait to go see hinm in two weeks for weekend,congrats to all that are with him in his goal as a FC,,,,,,,,,

Sandy, all of the paperwork for his security clearance was provided to his recruiter before he left.  I guess the issue was the system they were using was in the midst of going through some major changes.  My son didn't find out until he finished A school and was waiting for orders.  Once I found out, I contacted the recruiter and he checked the system.  The recruiter found the information needed to be removed from the old system and input AGAIN into the new system ... too bloody funny!  Anyway, long story short, it got figured out!

 

As for that being the hold up; not possible!  My son had orders before and lost them due to his injury, so I'm not sure why others, who have been there a lot shorter time, are receiving orders before him.  He's not too worried about it right now, since there are more than him in this same predicament.  I'll keep you posted!
