So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Orders kind of come through in batches, at least it seems that way to me.  There will be a long dry spell, and then all of a sudden a few hundred assignments come through, then another dry spell.

Hang in there...they'll come.  Our Chris finished mid October, and then got orders just before coming home for the holidays.

Hi all,

Larry, he is going to love it, great experience for any sailor.

I've been in upstate NY for the last couple of weeks enjoying our new granddaughter but happy to be back at home and enjoying a full night of sleep.

Our sailor son called this morning his ship had been out for the last couple of weeks.  He was surprised with a NAM yesterday (Navy Achievement Medal)...just had to share!

Hello all

James is in Japan now.  Spending the weekend sightseeing.  We have been able to talk with him a good bit and text.  He said he is playing the tourist now.  While we had him for 30+ days he is now about to start doing what the Navy has trained him for so long to do.  He has run into friends from all the schools and boot camp so he is seeing now how it all ties in together. He can't wait to get started.

Wow Jim.

The only good part of that is the hug for momma and he will be home in four weeks!
