So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Jim, I like how your wife is planning what she will feed your son already - me, too!  My son says he wants Mexican food as soon as he lands!

Be safe out there in the cold!

Mary - thinking of you all today and your daughter's new addition to the family:)

The weather reports for later in the week for that area look encouraging Jim and they have the equipment there to clear up those roads.

Interesting article in today's Navy Times about the manning levels for every rate.

So happy for you!

Yes, weather has been a real bear for the midwest so far.  I'm supposed to head for Rochester this afternoon, but they're calling for an addiction 2-4' of lake effect snow through Rochester over the next 3 days...not sure how much I can get done out there in that weather.

I hope O'Hare is dug out and caught up before Friday.  In fact, not sure if he's flying out of O'Hare or Milwaukie...

So jealous but happy for all the families that will have sailors home soon.

Ours will not be here this year but we will be grandparents TODAY so trying to celebrate that happiness and not pout too much!

Glad their stand down starts later in the week; O'hare cancelled 1400 flights yesterday.  We even have snow and ice in Atlanta with temps expected to be 12 degrees in the morning!  Brrr

4 more days until our sailor comes home for the holidays!  My wife is already discussing what recipe out of his favorites she'll make first.

When we asked him what he wanted to eat, his response was "Anything HOMEMADE!"

Can't wait.

Yeah it was!...somehow I expected it to be a little more controlled than that!  LOL  Looked lke it almost capsized...but I know there are some pretty smart people that figured all that out, and they've been doing it for a really long time ;)

That railgun is cool. I saw this video the other day. I can't imagine the shockwave that goes off with the big boom.
