So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

They won't come back to you until the day before you go on leave unless there is a problem with the chit or it has been denied. If you send me a message with his full name I will check with admin to see if they have received it yet.

Comment by BR549 on August 27, 2010 at 9:59am: Well, Noel's leave chit has still not been approved the LPO signed it the Chief signed it but the barracks have not turned them in (from what I understand) there have been plenty denied and approved Noel put his Chit in the first of August. I believe it was August 3rd so he could come home for Labor Day I went ahead and bought his tickets and bought the cancellation insurance. I'm a little frustrated just here to vent a little this morning so I guess this is routine for the Navy to wait until the last minute I know, I Know "Hurry up and wait" just frustrated.

Thanks for the info. I doubt he'll still be there over the holidays. I think he finishes with ATT Phase II around the 1st week of October, but not quite sure.

I am not sure how many people are ahead of him and the amount of orders we have been getting has slowed lately. It seems we are getting a batch of 75-100 every 2 weeks now. The second factor is when his orders tell him to report. most but not all orders have the sailor reporting 1-3 days before class starts.
