So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

For those looking for a breakdown of the AEGIS system, which is a fairly complex missle system that covers many different C Schools, this link provides a good graphic:

C school class sizes vary depending on the school. I went to my first Aegis 'C' school and had 12 in my class. My second Aegis 'C' school only had 3. My 'A' school class had 18. It really depends on the school you are attending.

Mac - Labor Day weekend will be a 4 day liberty weekend for everyone. If students want to leave the area, they must run a leave chit. We do not deny a leave chit for days the students won't be in class anyway. We only deny leave if it will make them miss class. There are always exceptions though. We usually allow leave for family emergencies such a death or serious illness in the family where the sailor's presence is required to take on some sort of responsibilities.

Just a quick question. My daughter will be coming from boot camp for her ATT and FC school next week. I've read some past post and just need a little clarification. I understand that once students are in class that leave is usually not authorized. However, do all students get the Labor Day weekend off? Classed up or not? Does that count as leave or liberty? Assuming that they don't have watch that is. Thanks in advance for any responses.

In our son's class there was five new A school grads but a number of fleet returnees.

I think I read somewhere about the C school FC classes only having 5 to a class but I'm not sure about that. maybe FC1 will fill us in.

I do think they all have small class sizes Jim. Certainly seems to be the case at the Aegis schools and having friends with sailors at various FC C schools - it seems to be the case. They do lab work and more hands on teaching.

I wonder if all C School classes generally run smaller in terms of class size? One place where fewer is better, I think...
