So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Comment by FC1 (SW) Sean M. Officer on July 22, 2010 at 10:04am: Any federal holiday that falls on friday or monday is a 4 day weekend for us. Statistics show a drastic reduction in the number of accidents no we err on the side of caution and give everyone an extra day. It also helps conserve leave for those of us that live in the area. They are all Friday-Monday. If you want your sailor to come home, tell them not to wait till the last minute to run the leave chit. july 4th weekend saw alot of people not get to go on leave because they waited too long to route the leave chit. We prefer at least 2 weeks heads up that someone goes on leave and that's for staff and students.
