So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Comment by FC1 (SW) Sean M. Officer on July 16, 2010 at 11:33am: As a policy, if the student is actively classed up, we do not allow leave that would cause them to miss school. Labor Day is a 4 day weekend though and Noel should be able to come home for those 4 days.

Just wondering we haven't seen Noel since March and it would be so wonderful for him to be able to come home, we're in the Norfolk, VA area.

After looking into the orders issue with people going straight to the fleet. It did happen. 17 people were sent straight to a ship but it was an isolated incident and SHOULD (the key word here) not happen again. I wish I could guarantee that it won't.

Puffenbarger on July 12, 2010 at 4:15pm: yes nat did make FC not all did but what a weekend it was im breathless and the emotions are intense we got to spend the wholeweekend with nat cept to take him back at 8pm it was great hes ther now for 33 weeks then to C school hopefully at VA itll be closer for us we are alredy planning a trip back to see him at great lakes when he has weekend liberty i have to say some didnt get wht they thought they would and some shipped out imediatly so just be ready.....they got to spend just fri nite with them and sat 430 am they were off to a school somehwere else and be ready if your son or daughter doesnt make good scores they may not getinto wht they thought either so anything is possible...i listend to alot of parents about dif situations .....my son is chgned man and all for good but he gained ten lbs with us lol he ate everything...lol any questions about anything feel free to ask me >>>>Tim
