So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

I so agree with that...open learning. If a students goes the extra mile and is open to help that is a clear statement to the schoolhouse of their desire to do a good job.

Cheaters...
If they are not able to pass the test, we don't need them going to the fleet and putting their shipmates at risk. I do hate how disappointed their families will be and how disappointed these students will be in themselves - even if it is later in life.

I'm off to RTC to see our Sponsor division's PIR. Kind of excited. I haven't seen a PIR since 1993, and I was in that one. =)

Jim - Chris will class up in 6 days. Thursday, 27 May. He should be on the standby list for today's classup and if he is very lucky he could get into todays class but he will be classed up next thursday for sure. I will be sure to keep an eye on him as he progresses through the school and make sure he knows "Dad is watching." =)

Ricky - Is your son in ATT or 'A' school. Not that it matters, eitherway my answer would be the same. Open Learning! Open Learning! Open learning! It is a study hall environment with instructors present who can help with problems on a one on one basis. It is also a measure of effort if for some reason a students ends up at ARB (Academic Review Board). The more open learning we see, the more effort we know that student is putting into their studies.

Thanks Bob when we learn new skills it's always repetition, repetition and more repetition to master the skills, for some it comes easier than for others I'm sure he'll work through it

Ricky, my daughter told me about how she was having a really hard time passing one part of her testing. It turned out that the problem was that she had the polarity on her testing equipment switched the wrong way. So simple but so easily overlooked. Once she got that straightened out it was a piece of cake. Details, details details!

And...sent you a PM...thanks for the help.

FC1,
It's amazing how many people think they can beat the system...even if they don't have to. It's just in their nature. It's a shame those young men have likely thrown their Navy careers away.

FC1 hello my son told me he is having a hard time with the testing or maybe he's not studying as hard as he should. Any suggestions?

Jim - message me your son's full name and i'll let you know when he's classing up. I am only showing one Butler but his first name is not Chris.

Bob - Those cheaters were dropped from FC 'A' school and are awaiting CO's Mast. One of them was in phase II ATT already. Captain Ollinger, the CO, has a history of discharging cheaters.
