So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Welcome to the Navy, now hurry up and wait! :)

Chris went through much the same thing. My advice to him was that for the next 6yrs?...it didn't really matter. In the Army we used to say "The pay is the same, whether your marching or fighting." Sit back, relax, and enjoy the downtime, because there will be times that you look back on these slack moments as VERY fond memories.

Well he just texted me now he's not moving, they're all full but he's on the top of the list for next move day hopefully this week, He said ALL his stuff is packed up, :(

Well...that's about right then, I think. Our son graduated on Jan 29th, and I believe he started ATT Phase I on or about Mar 3rd, don't remember the exact date.

Congrats, Noelsnavymom. I'm sure FC1 will chime in with an answer for you. I think the last I read, there was about a 1 month wait to "class up", but it changes frequently, so best wait for his answer.

And welcome to the group!

Bob- I for one have never had an ET touch my radar systems. Though I am sure they have the aptitude, they have enough equipment to deal with without having to work on mine as well. Besides, it's a pride thing with me. I don't think I could live with myself if I had to have any other rate come help me on my gear. =)

As far as the ET's getting this information, I passed the site info to ET1(SW) Newell, who is the night Shift LPO and is currently running the ET portion of 'A' school ( I can't be everywhere...lol.) He is in the ET 'A' school group as he has a better handle on how their portion of the school runs.

Winds of Change - For those of you who have students waiting to get into ATT. We are going to be presenting a pilot program to our head honchos later this month to make ATT lock-step and instructor led classes similar to FC 'A'. The pilot program will be FC students at first and if we see the same improvements that we have seen here in 'A' school, it wil be implimented across all 4 schools (a tidbit for the ET parents as well.) More to follow as the project develops. =)

Bob - has your daughter been drinking that ET koolaid in GL?!!! lol
When my hubby was FCing, one of the things he enjoyed most is they repaired their own equipment, not sure if that has changed today to not.

Might now better soon...our FC son finishes cranking duty on Sunday and gets to be an FC next week!!
