Theresa check out the Navy Lodge in Coronado I looked at it online it said 80.00 a night.  I can't wait for Wes to get there to hear how everthing is.  18 days for Noel.....

My son is on the plane to San Diego right now.  I'll be waiting today for all the details.  He's living his dream and looks so good in his uniform - guess I can't complain too much we said our goodbyes again!

Tim - my sister said everything is expensive there.  I checked into the hotel chain we usually stay at when we visit relatives around the country.  In San Diego, it is double!  I wonder how the Navy Lodge is in SD?  I cannot wait to see my son again and for sure before the deployments begin.  May we all get to San Diego soon to see our kids!

Well nat should be on plane to sandiego bout now he was lucky ther was as shipmate going there too and they had friends drive them to airport and her parents live out there and are picking them up and taking them to the base talk about good fortune ...Now were in limbo waiting to hear he is tther ok and then to make some plans to go out in june ----the Navy has made an in credible person outta of my son i cant say enough about his change ----well back in a few

Awesome - so many CIWS orders!  My sister lives in San Diego and fairly close to the main base.  I can ask her of places to stay in the area, even where to eat, etc.

Congrats on all the orders my son is also going to SD for CIWIS he leaves May 19th, and reports to school on June 3rd.  He can't wait to get out of GL just like everybody else.  Good luck to everyone! It's all so exciting!

congrats  to all of us and yes the moving on starts nat cant wait to get outta ill and move on we cant wait to go ther in june but have started looking and the hotel selection is not so good and chg alot of extra fees as in 25 bucks a day to park yr car ,,,,,,anyone with any info about the area plz let me know.......ill ask nat about wes im sure he knows him ...they ship out on fri 22nd....we are going to ill this weekend to see nat before he leaves for there and get some things to briing back home lol and a sail off dinner,,,,i wont miss ill either lol.....but flying to san diego ,,,good luck and safe journey to both yr sons i pray they do well  as with nat ,,,,,,

My son Alex called early this am, he got orders for CIWS in SD!  He's so excited along with Mom and Dad.  We'll get to see him in June and then he reports to SD for C School on 12 July.  He'll be right behind Nat and Wes.  The journey continues!  Hoo Yah!!!!

Your son lives on the Cole a couple rooms down from my son.  I had told him I knew that another dad here had a son going to SD soon.  He knows your son and says he is a nice guy!  Glad he will be in SD within the same time frame as Wes.  We are looking forward to getting to SD, too, this summer.

nat got his hard orders today and not sure but has to be in sandiego by the april 23 rd ill know more we are headed to ill this weekend to get some things and find out more.............nat had to chg his weapon systemim notsure wht hes doing now ill have to ask when i get there but planning a trip to san diego in june ......
