So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Thanks Larry. He said it's a ATT for 11wks, then a 2wk break, then 37wks of A school.
He's very excited, as are we :)

I think that SCC is a 1 or 2 week school. I will try to find out for you when I talk to James again.

I think that is SCC. The first of several schools. I talked to James last night and he finished Phase 2 ATT school yesterday and was to get Rated today. We all are so happy and proud. Now he is waiting for his C school orders. They were supposed to get them the last week of A school but they are behind. So now he is on hold for that now.

Today was CPR and First Aid. He said he's in the 16:00-24:00 shift.
I think this is the ATT school, so 19wks? Should finish up around August.

Got a text msg from Chris at 7:30am today saying he'd just classed up.
That's excellent news.

Guillermo,
Depending on who you ask, the answer could be different. That are always the enthusiastic comments like "We blow stuff up" or "We put warheads on foreheads," but what it all boils down to is that we repair, maintain and operate the ship's weapons systems. Radars, computers, computer networks, display systems, mechanical systems ect... We also stand some of the tactical watch stations like Missile System Supervisor, who is the person that actually launches the weapons, and Air Warfare Coordinator who is overall in charge of defense against aircraft and anti-ship cruise missiles.

Cool Jim. I know Zac was happy to be able to wear civies. Not old enough for a beer though.
