So, I haven't heard from FC1 Officer in some time. I deleted all the info here because it is probably wildly out of date. When I can get more current information I will post it here again. I'll see if my son can get me some new information.

Chris made it to Phase II liberty status, so I guess he can wear civies and have a beer or two now. Good for him :)
Now...if he could just class up!...lol

I accidentally deleted FC1(SW) Officers first post. I had it save so I put it up top as a text for the group so you don't have to go back and hunt for it. It is some good basic info for those of you knew to the group that didn't see it.

Gee all this info comes at the end of James 2nd FC ATT school. He finishes up Friday or at least he is trying too. He hopes so he can stay on the Drill team. He is still waiting for his C School orders to begin his next step. We thought he would have them by the end of his A school but he is still waiting. Any Ideas?

FC1 Chain,
Thanks for joining the group. You folks definitely help fill in a lot of blanks to those of us on the "outside".
Can you explain the sequence of schools, including probably lengths?

We'd love it if Chris were stationed in Virginia for awhile after he finishes up in GL. Pretty easy drive for us to get down that way from the Boston area, and there are plenty of Maryland Steamed Crab between here and there :)

Hi all, I may know some of you from the Navy for Moms site. Hubby was an FC for 10 years and now we have an FC 3 son that reported to his first ship not long ago. He made it thru A school with only ...three days of hold! Then graduated from Aegis school in Dahlgren. It is a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end.

Then I'm sure his orders were for FC 'A' school.

Thanks again.

Jim,

The determination between ET or FC is made about the 4th week of bootcamp. Your son should have received orders to report to either ET 'A' School or FC 'A' School upon completion of recruit training.
