We Render Honors to the USS Arizona

081207-N-0535P-215 PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Dec. 7, 2008) Woody Derby, a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, salutes the names of the deceased at the USS Arizona Memorial during a Prayer for Peace ceremony sponsored by the Japan Religious Committee for World Federation. The prayer ceremony followed a joint U.S. Navy/National Park Service ceremony commemorating the 67th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The theme of this year's historic commemoration, "Pacific War Memories: The Heroic Response to Pearl Harbor," emphasizes the brave efforts of those who fought at sea, on land, and in the air, to turn the tide in the Pacific. More than 2,000 distinguished guests and the general public joined service members, Pearl Harbor survivors and their families and friends for the annual observance. I just got on line and it's been awhile since 2016. My son was stationed in Guam for the last four years and two deployments to ME. He has changed his rate. He was a reservist and now full time Navy. He is currently stationed in San Diego. Last April was his 11th year in the Navy.

Well it has been  a while since my last comments on the comment wall. I sent my son Chris a message thru Skype and he returned our call. We spoke for about 5 minutes due to he was getting up for work. He has a long day today. He is currently assigned  in the Middle East as a MA. This is his third deployment. We also keep in touch thru Viber. Sorry unable to tell you all the location but he is safe and doing well.

Welcome Dennis! I live in Green Valley but work at Silverbell so we must be fairly close neighbors!
