081207-N-0535P-215 PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Dec. 7, 2008) Woody Derby, a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, salutes the names of the deceased at the USS Arizona Memorial during a Prayer for Peace ceremony sponsored by the Japan Religious Committee for World Federation. The prayer ceremony followed a joint U.S. Navy/National Park Service ceremony commemorating the 67th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The theme of this year's historic commemoration, "Pacific War Memories: The Heroic Response to Pearl Harbor," emphasizes the brave efforts of those who fought at sea, on land, and in the air, to turn the tide in the Pacific. More than 2,000 distinguished guests and the general public joined service members, Pearl Harbor survivors and their families and friends for the annual observance. He'll be okay...the busier he is the better!!! He needs a new computer...I have his old one with a trashed drive, but until he gets housing setup and moved in we won't worry about a new system yet!!! He'll have to live with his iPhone4!!!

Son Eric has been on Marine air base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii for almost two weeks now...no transportation and wife Tami in Ohio and the rest of HSL-37 deployed...not much to do and unhappy right now....

Hello everyone. My son Cole is now in DEP with a November ship date. After the joy of spending November and December in GL, he'll be off to Charleston for nuke school.

Happy Father's Day to all the AZ dads out there! We get to see our son next week and then it's on to San Diego for CIWS C School. Looking forward to spending some time with our Sailor as the adventure continues! Thanks for the post Marcy from the Pentagon Channel, nice tribute to military fathers and families.

Our son Alex called early am today, he got orders for CIWS in SD! He is so excited along with Mom and Dad. He can't wait, reports to C School in early July. We'll get to see him in June before he reports in SD.
Congrats Mike on your son getting his third stripe and for his work with the Reagan strike group. So proud of our Sailors! The journey continues!
