does anyone know if u can get a waiver for the DLAB if u come up a few points short?
The Personal Applied Skills Streaming (PASS) program trains and mentors recruits with social skill deficiencies. Staff members teach recruits how to manage, anger, stress and low self-esteem while emphasising gender, racial and cultural diversities.
I got a call from my son this morning saying his Graduation was being moved back by a week because he was being sent to something called "PASS". His phone call was really short as you can imagine plus he had to call other family members. When I asked what this was about he was very short and also said he was not sure. Can someone help me understand what this might be about. What is "PASS"?
Div 820 is only for BC. Now you will use BUD/S Class number. After SQT Graduation then it will be Team number which should not be posted in public.
My son just graduated, PIR last Friday. Now at pre-BUD/S. Will he stay in same Div 820 or does that change? Any group of this particular division?
Rick, I was actually stationed there. I was part of Commander Submarine Group 10. It's a beautiful base. The only thing I hated about it is the bugs. Geez, you are eaten alive if you go out at night. What they tell you to do is put on "Skin so Soft" lotion. I found this gross since what it does is drowns the bug on your skin.
I had a house built there. I had planned on retiring there, but after being there for 3 years, I decided I couldn't handle the bugs.
Most sailors go to Jacksonville for fun things. Saint Mary's and Kinglands really have nothing.
You should probably stay at the Navy Lodge on base. Here is the link:
Oh, by the way, thanks for the information.
Yes, he has it in his contract. There is also that language that states if anything is found later that may preclude him from serving, but his stuttering was evident from the get go.
My son stutters slightly. He joined to serve on subs. He asked the recruiter it this would be an issue "not a problem" he was told.
Went through basic, "A" School and Sub School graduating Friday a week ago and now is told he cannot serve on subs because of his stuttering.
What can he do if anything?
Thanks,
