Here is one of my spaceflight recovery flights. Way back in the day...
My daughter is supposed to start her A school in Pensacola as an AM on March 2 from Great Lakes. We live 10 hours drive south. Any suggestions to get ready for?
Andrew, good to hear. I worked on them while stationed at VX-1 at Patuxent River MD. Are you with the filght crew or ground maintenance? Its a nice plane. Nice to spark up the APU and have heat in the winter and airconditioning in the summer. Not like those helo's I worked on in the past.
Nice picture of the F-18E/F. VFA-106, the rag out of NAS Oceana Virginia. I was stationed in VFA-131 (Wildcats) back when they were in Cecil Field Florida. Oh, what good times I had working on those Hornets.
Just as a note I was an Air Force Flt. Eng. on C-5 in the early 1980's. So it is a different world from then. Back then the AF had the mission of AirBorne command post that the Navy has out of Tinker.
So Jeff is aircrew and he can only be fixed wing because of his uncorrected vision. Looked to me like the modified P-3 and E-6 are his options. Last night he said after the basic electronics school he will be going to A School at Tinker. I guess with the consolidations of school that makes sense?
H-2, H-3, H60S/F/H helicopters, P-3, S-3 and the ole' mighty F-18. After the F-18 I became a repair technician/Instructor on the F-18 Laser/Flir system. How about you Andrew? Where have you been stationed?
