AT.....best rate in the Navy.
Jeff classed up, starts AT or ATO Monday? I'm pretty excited for him.
sounds like it would a better post-Navy career move than AWO
Aircrewman Avionics (AWV) In-Flight technician/trouble shooter on board P-3C, EP-3 and E-6B aircraft. Maintains and trouble shoots all avionics equipment while in flight. Operates communication systems and electronic warfare equipment onboard E-6B and EP-3 aircraft. Operates and maintains tactical support center systems at shore installations and tactical mobile systems in expeditionary MTOC units.
Working Environment
AWs may be assigned to P3 squadrons, Helicopter Combat Support Squadrons (HC), Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadrons (HS) or Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron Light (HSL) sea or shore duty in any part of the world. They work in hangars, shipboard hangar and flight decks, administrative and operations departments. AWs often work on flight lines at air stations, usually around a high level of noise.
Jeff got his job today. He will be an AWO. He and I are very excited! 3-4 months at P-Cola then ???
Congratulations to Patrick!
My son Patrick reported to his permanent duty station on the 30th and he found out he was promoted for graduating 1st in his A school class! He was totally surprised!
