Andrew is still waiting for the results of the E-4 exam. He thinks maybe December before the results are published. It would be a nice raise for him. With the promotion come more responsibility, more independent work and the beginning of supervisor responsibilities.

Greetings! Andrew is settled in at Whidbey Island. His roommate is a sailor he knew at ATT school in Great Lakes. He and some other guys went hiking on Mt. Baker last weekend. Class up is Nov. 13. Hurry up and wait.

Evan's doing well. He is enjoying the cruise. They just finished porting in Dubai he said it was an awesome experience along with being a little scary. He said the middle east is a lot different than here. It took them 3 hours to finally get a cab ride back to the ship. He said their not to fond of Americans. They just wouldn't stop for them. He is now back at sea so back to work for him. Thanks for asking.

We put Andrew on a plane yesterday morning. We got a text message that he was on board the shuttle from the Seattle airport to Whidbey Island NAS. I figure we will get a phone call today or tomorrow with a new address. He should be there till early to mid January. I am eager to find out what he thiks of the area.

Chuck that is Awesome! Enjoy your time with Andrew it go's by to fast. I'm glad to hear he is eager about going to the next step of the journey. A positive attitude go's a long way. He will do a lot of good for the Navy and his country in what he's doing. Hawaii will not be a bad place to do it. Tell him to bundle up though his next stop on the route in Washington might get a little cold. I hope ya'll have a great time with him while he's at home.

I have Andrew home this week!! The best part is the sense of completeness or maybe wholeness in the family. He looks great. He is satisfied and adjusted to Navy life.
He was a little bummed about Hawaii as a duty station at first, but now my impression is that he is eager to complete this last training in Washington and get to use his training to fix something.

Airdales! Evan has been on the Reagan for close to three weeks now. It seems to me that he is adjusting really well to living on the ship. He told me that the first time he launched a plane was an awesome experience. The ship will be porting withing the next week somewhere overseas. So he'll get the experience of his first port. He said he had a lot of pictures to send me so we'll see if that happens. I can't wait to share them. Just wanted to update everyone to let them know how my sailor was. Oh! and by the way he volunteered for IA and was accepted. This will put him on the ground in Iraq. The boy thinks he's invincible. Let me know how your sailors are doing.

We won't know about the test for a while. Lots of people taking it. Andrew has no feel for how he did. He is making final preparation to transfer to Widbey Island, WA for "C" school. He has been authorized leave and he plans to be home 5 - 7 days. He told me yesterday that he has a sponsor to check in with and coordinate arrival and pickup. He wants to arrive during business hours to be considerate of the sponsor’s time.
