Airdale's Evan received his orders today. He is off to catch up with the USS Ronald Reagan this coming Friday. He will fly into Bahrain and then to his new home on the baddest aircraft carrier know to man (I'm bias because my son will serve on her ). I wish him the best of luck and pray for his safety.

Chuck Hawaii that's not fair. I'll switch places with Andrew.

Hi,
Andrew received his orders Friday. He is off to Hawaii. He has been assigned to a squadron of P-3 Orisons. He is to make a stop at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island for "C" school.
Don't know report dates, but he is authorized leave before reporting. I know that he has some plans to attend his brother HS grad and a friends wedding. He must make the decision.

One thing the Navy doesn't mind doing is waiting. They are not in a rush. So Andrew should enjoy the time he has there. I'm sure ya'll are not in a rush to see him off to Hawaii. Keep me posted on his progress.

Andrew is waiting orders and providing building support. He is in "hurry up and wait" mode. The paper work wheels seem to be grinding slowly. He still has friends that were a week behind him in AE School. I don't think he minds the orders being slow.

Chuck my son is doing well. He arrived in San Diego about a week ago. He is going to be deployed sometime this weekend. He is on the USS Ronald Reagan. It is at sea so they will send him to catch up with it and finish out the cruise. Andrew is smart save that leave time. Keep me posted on his progress.ttyl

He has not received anything on paper. My experience is that is is not sure till it is on paper in your hand. Hawaii was not on his dream sheet. He may or may not come home after "A" school. He has a friend's wedding and the hollidays in mind. We'll see? How's your's doing.

Chuck that's awesome. Hawaii and keeping his feet on the ground that's the way to do it. I'm sure he'll love it there and will be a nice place to visit. Looks like Andrew is in the same boat as me watching out for Gustav. Tell him to keep safe, these hurricanes can be destructive. I'm sure they will take care of the sailors there. Keep me posted on when he graduates. He should be headed home to see ya after graduation. I'm sure ya'll can't wait to see him. ttyl

Welcome Chuck. My son just finished up in P'cola and arrived in San diego today. Looks like Andrew is headed along way from home also. My son will be ABE on the flight deck of the USS Ronald Regan. What ship will Andrew be on?
