Great pic Cathie! Is your Sailor back flying yet?
Nice Brad!
It is with great joy that I can now announce that my son Garrett, having served out in Japan with HS-14 for almost 4 years and is coming to the end of his 6 year commitment, has re-enlisted for 4 more years and has accepted orders to return in February as a RSS instructor! The student now becomes the teacher, and the best part for us is he comes back home to Florida! While Pensacola is many hours from Orlando, we are happy to make that drive! It gets better, as he is coming home Monday so he can travel with family to Quantico, VA to attend his sister's graduation from the US Marines Officer Candidates School as a 2nd Lt. and to have the honor in the ceremony of the first enlisted to salute her on Friday Dec 14. What a wonderful December to remember in our family. I hope that you all enjoy the Christmas season this year.
Our daughter finished C School on Wednesday at NAS and was notified that she was promoted to Petty Officer. We are very proud of her and hope to see her next month. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Oh yes, shorter deployments....but given what they do, they can e deployed to one place and be flying almost anyplace......something I realized after a little too much reading on my part, lol. My son is always tight-lipped about everything....partly because that is what he is supposed to do and I'm sure to keep from explaining too much to me. I finally figured out the right time to stop asking questions with him. Hard for me to do.
Yes, Lynch is pleased as well. I just wish I could get him to share a little more with me. I've learned when I have to pull back on the questions. Not easy cuz I'm a need to know kind of person, lol.
Prayers for your son....and for Gold Star Mothers this weekend.
