Boss Tom Frosch is one cool cat and a great pilot......the other guy is ok but not such a great pilot.....

I should have mentioned that Boss Frosch was using the number 3 plane.  There where two number 3 planes that day on the demonstration flights.  David is indeed with Boss Frosch in the picture. Here is another photo of David Schooley perfoming the final inspection before the flight ....

I was curious as to why David is working with Lt. Nate Barton in the photo Eddie posted below.  This is actually Boss Frosch borrowing one of Lt. Barton's jets Saturday morning.  We're getting anxious to see the El Centro air show in less than 2 weeks!  Go Navy! Fly Blues!

Blue Angel fans,

There is a lot of discussion right now regarding the status of our 2013 show schedule. What we can tell you is that the Navy intends to cancel Blue Angel performances scheduled in April as an outcome of the budget cuts resulting from sequestration and the full year continuing resolution. This affects performances at four locations: MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL; NAS Corpus Christi, TX; Vidalia, GA and MCAS Beaufort, SC. The Navy will wait until the last possible moment before making cancellations beyond April. Thank you for all your support for not only the Blue Angels, but the entire Navy and Marine Corps. The Blue Angels are currently training so that if the decision to cancel the April shows is reversed, the team can continue to perform and inspire future generations of Sailors and Marines.

He doesn't think he is taking his camera but he's not sure.  He may not even have it in El Centro.  It sounds like he will get a cockpit video of his flight.  I'm hoping a guy named Mike W, who films all of their training flights and posts them on YouTube, will film at least the take-off for me.
