My son arrived at boot camp on 9/23/13. The package he sent home with his personal belongings was received on 9/28. But we still have not received the letter with his division and his PIR date. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Thanks.

My daughter arrived there on 9/25, and I got our PIR and Div letter yesterday, but still no box.

Thanks Steve. When is your daughters PIR?

11/22. She is ship 14 Div 019

Should arrive any day....

You should get it real soon and before you know it he will be calling you, my sons PIR is 10/25/13 I spoke with with him last week and he said time is flying and he's really excited about the whole experience

My son shipped on 1 October and we received the letter today. No "kid in a box" belongings yet!

Call your SR's recruiting office, you have waited too long and need to start getting letters off to him!

I take it back! I found  Fed-Ex tag on my door last night. They tried to deliver while I was away. I received it this morning with every single thing he had on him when he left including his cell phone with me as his last call. Gotta tell ya I broke down with both tears of joy, pride, and also of missing him so much.

We received my daughter's box today, almost 2 weeks after she arrived, but it came from USPS.

We received our son's KIB box today (he shipped on 2 Oct) but have not gotten the form letter yet although some who shipped with him have had their letters arrive. That said, we've also heard that they are moving some recruits around that shipped that day so the letter may be inaccurate with respect to the address and there may have to be another one sent...Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I haven't heard anything about moving them and I have already sent two letters!....

Just so everyone knows, my SR is supposedly assigned to Ship 3 Div 022. Anyone else in that neighborhood?
