Navy Dads

My son just let me know he was at boot camp.  He said he had an issue that he could not be entered into DEERS on his own.  I reached out to DEERS to have him removed so that he could have his own profile built.  I was told that they could not remove him without his verbal consent.  Considering that he is in boot camp, this is particularly difficult.  Has anyone run into such an issue?  If so, what was your fix?

Here is a link the DEERS web site. Maybe you can get some answers there. I don't know much about it myself.

Thank you.  I was on the phone with them for an hour yesterday.   I was told he only needs a release date to build his own profile in DEERS.  Of course to do so, I needed to have my son verbally consent to this. I said, that he was in boot camp.  The lady on the phone said I guess we won't be able to get him on a conference call? I have an appointment next month (soonest walk-in appointment) on Ft. Belvoir.  I am hoping the Navy could just fix it on their end.  Once I find a fix, I will post it for anyone who has an issue like this.  I have a feeling it is a rare issue.

Thanks fore the update. I will be curious to know the outcome.

I was able to resolve this issue with the Navy Project Office at 901-874-3425.  After speaking with them, my son disappeared from my DEERs profile.
