That's what I'm curious about.  He took it with him with that understanding.

look- they are a ton or pressure to do things in a hurry and under a ton of stress ("what am I getting myself into?").  I wouldn't stress too much about it...he'll have the opportunity for Religious guidance on Sundays.....

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it, just wondering if somehow it really wasn't allowed, or was just him thinking he didn't want to risk it.

Yep -- that's the list I had seen, so we figured it was ok.  Probably like Paul says, he probably felt/understood he couldn't keep it in the heat of the situation -- no biggie.

Except that the one he sent home has his girlfriend's picture taped inside the front cover!  Doh!

I got a package from myn son with some personal items yesterday and this was in there. This is not the one he got from MEPS. I sent him that one while he was at boot camp cause he forgot it. Maybe he got this one while at boot camp
