Navy Dads

Thought I would start an area for this group to share any specifics on what we're hearing from our sailors concerning BC or PIR.

After a long wait we got our first letter yesterday! It felt really good. Our son, Jon, sounded very positive. Not a lot of detail but nothing bad. Said there is a lot of marching, PT, cleaning and making racks. Sounds like boot camp to me.

Hey guys. Glad to hear you got your calls last Sunday. We did get a call but unfortunately were not at home. He did try to call my wifes cell phone but it rolled to voice mail. Thanks AT&T! He left a short message. Naturally sounded a little disappointed he'd missed us. We were sick about it. My wife did hear from the Navy Moms site the group had a really good week and the phone call and junk food was a reward. They apparently scored very high on the group testing for that week. They as well said everything was on track. Two weeks until PIR! Can't wait.
Hope everybody is ready for PIR. Just a few days! Hope to see you at the Thursday night socials. Looks like the weather will be clear but very cold. Good luck to these guys during Battle Stations.
Looks like today is the day for Battle Stations 21!  Good luck to all the guys.  I'm sure we are all looking forward to that "I'm a sailor call" in the next day or two.  Hope to see you all at PIR.
Just got off the phone and we have a new Sailor

Same here. We got a call about 5pm. We have a sailor. He was very tired.

Congrats to all the new sailors!  I also got the "I'm a sailor" call yesterday.  He was tired, but very happy. I'm proud of them all!  Can't wait to see him Friday.
Congratulations to the new Sailors of Division 69, and all the other newly graduated sailors today!  I hope you have the time of your lives!
PIR was very impressive. Congratulations to all the new sailors.
