Pensacola is a nice place, I was first stationed down the rd in Ft Walton Bch, spent a lot of time in Pensacola, that would be a good drive from NY. I used to drive back to Pa a lot from FL good drive. We are flying in from SC, then just using the vans that Sarge's provides, Have you signed up for his pre grad event. Supposed to be the thing for everyone going to the grad.
That's good to hear. I have heard from others that it's a nice place to attend A-School. I have not signed up for Sarge's event as of yet. Not sure what we will be doing the night before.
My ex signed us all up, seems to be the thing to do. So it should be interesting. Have you gotten your password for the pass yet, i don't think we have as of yet.
I have not gotten my password either. We received a letter yesterday from my son.
He said "I was told by my shipmates, in order to get the password, you need to register on the website"
I have no idea what that means. I never knew I had to register anywhere in order to get the password. We didn't receive the guest list either. We are down to 2 weeks left and hopefully we get it soon. Otherwise we'll have to park in the train station outside the gate (which is not too bad).
He said they just finished "Hell Week" and he is still alive, so that's good!
He told me the division got a 4.7 out of 5.0 in their personal inspection and weapons turnover inspection? I really don't know about any of this stuff, but he said it's good. He also received a sharpshooter ribbon. He said they are all doing great and next week is firefighting.
September 13th cannot come soon enough!
Password is for the parking pass...that password was on the form letter you received shortly after your sailor arrived at boot camp...that password is used at this page: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
and is entered:
there is no registration....just have to enter the password to open the PDF
Paul -
I did not receive it. I received the letter with his graduation date, but no password or guest list. The same goes for a few others in this division. There was only 2 pages. Others have said they received 3 pages.
have you contacted RTC? Phone: Public Affairs Office 847-688-2405
believe the email. is rtc.pao@navy.mil but I cannot swear to it............will try to confirm

Thanks for the phone number. I just called Public Affairs and left a voicemail. Hopefully they return my call soon. I guess worst case scenario is that we have to park in the train station and walk across to the base. I just hope nothing happened to the guest list as well.
normally that password and tentative guest list is included on that form letter......keep bugging them and let them know that you had a page missing.......
That's what I heard. We were definitely missing a page. I just filled out the contact form as well, so hopefully I hear back soon.
Thanks for the information!
Still no reply from RTC Public Affairs. Do they typically ignore people. I would think this would be considered a serious question I have. I know it's serious for us, since we're the ones who will not be able to get the gate pass.
I did write my son and tell him to try and get us the password. Hopefully he can. He is scheduled to graduate in 9 days.
