 Jim, Art and Joie are you all ready to head to Great Lakes Illlinois next week for our son's PIR? I am ready and can't wait to get up there from here in Edmond, Ok and will be leaving next Thursday morning and going to drive up there and stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Waukegan. How many times have you spoke with your recruits since they have been in boot camp and have they told you that they are set to graduate? Thanks, Eric

Eric,

Yes, we are ready! Can't wait. We got a phone call last evening from our son Jon. (Easter) Did you? Jon is very excited about graduation. He said they are all doing very good. They earned all their flags and are now eligible for the flag for "Honor Division". I hope they make it. They went through the gas chamber and Jon said when he got out, he vomited. Oh well, so it goes.

 

We are staying at the Ramada, Waukegan. We are flying in on Thursday and leaving on Sunday. My wife and your ex have been talking to each other on Navy4Moms. I think she said that she is staying at the Ramada also. Hopefully, you and I can meet at the PIR.

Eric, did you get the "I'm a Sailor" call yet from Blake? We did from our son Jon. We're so proud! Hopefully, we'll see you at PIR!

Jim, yes I got a call yeterday from my son Blake around 4:00 and he said that he's a sailor also. He said that he leaves out for his A school in Pensacola Florida early on Saturday morning and will be there for about three weeks and then will be going on the USS Enterprise carrier based out of Norfolk Virginia. He said that it looks like he will only get about a week or ten days to come before he ships out on deployment on the Enterprise.

He said that he knows your son Jon and I told him that we have communicated on Navy Dads and he said he is looking forward to PIR next and getting to see us. As I mentioned earlier we are are staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Waukegan on Thursday and Friday night and I look forward to meeting you next weekend. Thanks, Eric
