Navy Dads

Hey dads my son shipped out on December 14th and I have only had a very brief call from him saying he was there. Does anyone have additional information.

You should get a cardboard carton any day with your son's belongings in it any day now. My son shipped on December 13 and is in Ship 09 Div 071. We got his stuff last Friday, and yesterday a form letter with his address filled in.
No other info yet expect another call in about two weeks from now. You can start sending your son mail.

One good thing to send is a telephone calling card which your son will need to call you from the pay phones at bot camp.

Hi William,

My daughter shipped out on Dec. 14 also, we got the brief call saying she was there and I don't have any additional info, but, have you gotten any letters from your son yet?

Jeff

We got our form letter today, it gave the grad date and her ship, division and address, it was great to finally get a letter.

They will not have received any of our letters yet.  The first time they will be allowed to write letters will probably be on Christmas (which is what they call Sunday schedule).  I think they do not get any letters the first three weeks or so and do not get to write letters until the 2nd Sunday at boot camp.
