These opinions are what the the other side want! As far as the war goes, while it would be wonderful for all of our soldiers and sailors and airmen to be out of that theatre of operations (And harm's way) it just isn't realistic. This war is against people who prey on weakness. The purpose of terrorism is to initiate change through chaos. For us to say "This isn't working out for us" and leave would be a declaration of defeat in our enemies eyes and would be seen as an open invitation for more attacks on our own soil. I live a few miles from the guy who was recently arrested for terrorist activities so I know they're here and planning. Next up, The President. Back during the Clinton administration, I too used to feel that I "Respected the office but not the man" until I realized that the man defines the office, not the other way around. It's like people who say "I support our troops but not the war". My personal opinion is that you can't have it both ways. How can I have any respect for either when the man who sits in the greatest office in the land has the elitist "I know what's best for you, better than you" attitude. As far as I'm concerned the next Presidential election can't get here quick enough. I married into a family of dyed in the wool liberals and even they are horrified at what this man is doing to our country. I'm hoping that this will be the only term for the DahliBama. I think it's time we reminded our elected representatives that we support our servicemen and women and that we need to fight this war to win this war. Our people are already in significant danger without weak-kneed support from their elected leaders We need to let them know that any politician who supports these dangerous liberal politics is at risk of losing their office during the mid-term elections and beyond.

Rex, I'm glad to see someone else feels the same way I do. I support the war on terror and terrorism. I do not support this president or his policies. I encourage my sailor to serve his country but to keep his eyes and ears open, respect his superiors and do his best. Until this joke in the Whitehouse is out for good I'll never have the trust in our government that I've had in the past.

Let me start off in saying that this is my opinion, I am not an anti war protester or a anti American.
With our new commander and so called chief having a hard time in making his mind up on a troop surge is putting our brave men and women in harms way! While all the politicians want to do is talk, our people are getting killed in the line of duty its non-sense and it needs to stop.
If they cannot make up there minds then lets bring all of them home !! I have supported the war effort until now.This is not fair to our brave folks in the military.
The rules of engagement have changed; now they are just like the ones some of us remember from the Viet Nam war. They are sent out with little or no support, this is unacceptable, seems no one can remember their history. Men/women die and families suffer. For some of you that voted for this Commander in chief, here`s your Hope and Change. We are so PROUD of our Sailor,but at this time, we fill he should not serve anymore and stands behind his decision to get out. We respect the office of Washington but not this president !!!!
If this sounds like strong words than so be it ! the people in Washington need to wake up, the 2010 elections cant come fast enough for my family

The Obamas are visiting my great state of Arizona tomorrow, cant say i am happy about it, but i need to respect the office of the president but i will not respect him. i think its another way of pushing more of his health care crap down our throats. he will be speaking at a large VFW group on Sunday. so you can see what i mean , i hope these brave VFW warriors can see threw him, and figure out what how his policies of socialism are destroying our wonderful country !

The 2009 Sean Hannity Freedom Concert comes to Glendale AZ. featuring Sean Hannity, Col. Oliver North, Billy Ray Cyrus, Charlie Daniels Band, Michael W. Smith and Lee Greenwood. there was standing room only. i could not attend from what was said on talk radio today i really messed up .

I got a big laugh to day because all of our local tv. stations had little or no coverage including our local fox channel that leans to the left.
You would think that if any one would say a few good words it would be them .
Its about time for people to start waking up before its too late. a lot of the politicians are getting scared and so should they be !!
We may be in for the fight of our lives to take our country back. the old saying that freedom is not FREE may come as a shock to others but not to most of us here on this site !!

Hi Michael, I just saw the Obama/Joker poster. It's pretty darn funny in my opinion. I hope people start to realize what's going on here. I love the way the liberals are acting all wounded about it but it seemed to be fine when someone was making GWBush/Hitler posters. Typical of the elitist socialist sector.

I know what you mean Ted, I deal with a few of those myself and it's pretty amazing how clueless some people are. I have to admit though, I'm enjoying watching them make excuses for the current administration. They tricked themselves into thinking that the second coming of JFK was at hand and now they don't understand why this guy is taking deficit spending to a whole new level. I predict a one term presidency.

My son didn't get any opposition from any of his friends that I know of . His best friend has decided to join after coming to the conclusion that it's time to grow up and stop getting into trouble. He's a good kid and will make a great sailor.

Hi Rex, I know what you mean. My son is waiting to go in and several of his "Friends" are giving him grief for choosing to serve. Meanwhile they work dead end jobs and he's working towards a career. Guess who they voted for last November?!
