Welcome CD TX. Cryptology is where it is at! :)
Kid finally got his orders. 4 days after graduating A School. He's off to Pearl Harbor!
He's been a PO2 for over a year....he just past his quals and earned his IDW pin.
you should contact Craig since he was a CTM....
MarkM, thanks for the information also, my son leaves for BC on Feb 8th, and his rate is a CTI and then he's on to DLI. I was wondering how the process worked with C school after DLI. Again thanks.
@Bill Marshall, my son just passed two years on Dec 1 and was just promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class. He is a Persian-Farsi linguist. He worked his butt of at DLI (its tough...80% washout rate) and graduated with honors. He is now at Ft. Gordon, GA completing the "other" training CTIs go through. He loves the Navy.
Tell you daughter that Arabic and Farsi are the best languages to go for. Good Navy advancement and great prospects once she comes out. She will meet with a detailer from DLI around week 5 or 6. Depending on her DLAB score, she will be giving choices. Asian languages go to Hawaii after DLI, Spanish goes to Texas, Middle Eastern go to Gordon and Eastern European (very few) go to Ft. Meade, MD.
Any CTI dads here?
Finally passed all his testing...........we now have a CTN2 IDW
