She traveled home in uniform and is alos going back to Corry that way. She says they get treated very well while in uniform and even on ocassion will get a freebie. Leaving in a just a few hours, the time went by way to fast!

My daughters coming home for the Columus Day weekend, does she need to travel in uniform?

Hi everyone I have not been on in a while. I hope your sailors are all doing well. Tony, sorry to hear what happened to your daughter. I am glad she had a good time at home. My sailor will graduate C school in two weeks. He got his orders and we are all happy. Have a great weekend.

My daughter got over it but she did not wear her whites on the way home. Of course, it was mostly due to the fact she was at a party until who-knows-when and we had to leave for the airport at 4:30A.

She had a good time being home. She spent a lot of time with her friends. I took a couple days off and we went, did some stuff (saw more movies in the one week at the theater than I had seen all year). She actually left her room clean! I probably gained 5 pounds since she had me making all her favorite dishes. :)

Sounds like the same reception we received there coming back from S.E. Asia in the 70's. Always said the U.S. would be better off if most of Cali slid into the Pacific.

What do you expect out of San Franfreako...land of fruits and nuts...let her know that I appreciate what she is doing.

My daughter arrived home today. She flew out late yesterday, Sept 11, out of San Fran. She said people at the airport were less than nice. She had one person say her children burned in hell because she was serving in military. She had few other negative comments as well. She said she just reponded with the comment her Chief told her to use, "Thank you, your comment is appreciated" and then walked off. I am glad I was not there. I do not think I would have responded in the same manner.

Good luck to your daughter Sandy. My son had to wait the three months. He is not a CTR but his roommate was. He ended up in Hawaii and really loves it.

My daughter arrived in p-cola about 5weeks ago, I took her car to her last weekend, she wasn't sure when she was going to class up, thought the wait may be three months then calls to tell me 9/18, then today calls and said she started yesterday because soemone didn't show. You never know, she now begins her journey in to the world of CTR.
