Brenda, Sorry Jerronne could not make it home. I had that situation come up a couple times with my daughter both Memorial Day weekend and July 4th weekend. Hang in there.

Hello everyone. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Joe Jr.~Jerronne did not come home. Real bummer, but I spoke with him. Hopefully I can make it next month around A shool graduation and surprise him.

Tony~That is wonderful you had a visit with your daughter. I also share in your joy.

Have a wonderful, blessed weekend.

Arrived in Monterey yesterday. Picked up my daughter at Presidio. It was interesting to see all branches of the military milling around after classes. They have a graveyard on base where linguist that have been killed are buried. I hope to get a few pictures of the cemetary.

Joe Jr~I am glad to hear you had a wonderful visit with your son. Any time we can get with them is precious.
Yes, my son sounds no longer homesick or overwhelmed. He will be here for the weekend, next weekend. We can't hardly wait.
Tony, I am with Joe Jr. I hope you had a wonderful time with your daughter as well. Have a great weekend.

My sncleand and painted the walls and floors before he became a Core Mentor in his class. He is class leader now. I am proud of him.

Most of the time waiting to class up/start school is spent going to additional classes to supplement what they had in BC, the rest is spent on post duties such as cleaning, fire watch to get them prepared when they get to their units. Doug had told me he spent a lot of time pushing vacum cleaners around and escorting personnel that hadnt received clearences to the areas he had.

Brenda and Joe Jr, Have fun with your sailors. We will be headed west to see my daughter in a weeks from now.

I was talking to my uncle last night on the phone and found out he went to Defense Language Institute during the Vietnam war. I knew he was in Army intelligence but did not know he was a linguist.
