Like Ken, our sailor completed A school and has his orders for 'C' school. I guess because of instructor availability, a small numbers of sailors eligible, etc. the time stretchs out. He started A school in August, completed it earlier this month. Now the combination of Ops, and C school sessions will keep him in school in San Diego until next June. (that includes more than 6 weeks of hold time between schools).

We will see him at Christmas, and will probably make at least one trip out there. Being in the Northeast makes it a longer, more expensive trip.

His barracks situation is very comfortable (tv,fridge, internet in the room). Not like any military training base I remember.

Cora - hope your daughter has a wonderful experience in Japan and other Pacific rim destinations. Brenda - on to the next phase - hope he has an assignment to his liking.

I hope all is well with your sailors and families. Congrats to all the graduates. My son will graduate on Friday-boy it has been quite a haul-but he is there, praise the Lord. He has received his orders. Have a great week.

Hi,

My name is Bob Malone and I came across the picture of a young landry Airdale AA standing in front of a Blue Angel Aircraft, This in of interest to me as I wa an AD3 and served with LT Com Al Taddeo at NAS Key West, FL.
in 1951-1952.

Mr Taddeo is the only surviving member of the original Blue Angel, Mr Taddeo is 89 year old lives in California. Wwe email each other now and then in fact I got an emaile from him this week.

Is the young lady affiliated with the Blue Angels?

My Grandson Graduates from Master at Arms "A" tomorrow 9/25/2009.

I have not been in for awhile. I pray all your sailors and you are doing well. Anyone here of a hold on the sailors after C school after graduation? Any input would be appreciated. Have a great week.

My son just graduated with honors from A school and is scheduled to class up in C school in early September at P'Cola. He is very anxious to get through the classes (19 weeks) and get aboard his ship. I am very proud of him.

Brenda I do not know about your sons cschool as my son is in a different field but i can tell you that my son loves his cschool so far. He is ready to get to his ship and get his sea legs so to say. But he knows he has a lot to learn and the Navy wouldn't have him in cschool if that wasnt the best place for him to learn.
As far as the reply Brenda you are very welcome glad that it helped you out some. have a wonderful day.

Good morning. Well my son graduated A school. I am officially eligile to be in this group. I hope to share with you and learn all I can. He is still in P'Cola. Is that school 2 months, does anyone know for sure? I am very proud of my son, as I am of all of our sailors. I am reading how hard these schools are for them. Have a nice day. Tim, thanks for your reply.
